The Wavefront breakthrough has changed the face of LASIK by allowing eye surgeons the power to completely customize the procedure. With features like Wavefront mapping, Bladeless IntraLase, and eye tracking, the Wavefront system is able to track and treat the unique nuances of vision. Higher order aberrations that could not previously be detected are found and relayed to the S4 laser for ultimate personalization and safety.
Although no eye surgery is backed with a guarantee, with Wavefront, the results of your LASIK procedure are more predictable than ever before.
Dr. Huynh and his staff cannot legally guarantee the results of any procedure, as there are risks and complications that come with surgery. However, we can show you our patient statistics, and tell you that 100 % of our CustomVue LASIK patients are off glasses and contacts. Vision results are clear and sharp, and side effects like glare and halos occur less frequent than in patients who chose traditional LASIK.
Most patients who undergo a thorough eye exam at our San Diego center are good candidates for this procedure, however there are restrictions. Dr. Huynh will be able to let you know if you can expect good results with CustomVue LASIK only after you visit us for your free vision correction consultation. Patients who’ve been turned down for LASIK in the past due to increased risks related to the microkeratome flap creation may now be eligible for Bladeless IntraLase LASIK.
Custom LASIK is able to treat a wider variety of patients thanks to the incredible Wavefront technology and the fact that less corneal tissue is removed – so patients who were turned down for traditional LASIK due to steep, flat or thin corneas or dry eyes should come in and see us to find out if they now qualify.
Custom LASIK utilizes state-of-the-art technology including the Wavefront system and IntraLase Bladeless LASIK. These advanced methods work together to deliver a LASIK procedure that targets each patient’s unique corneal abnormalities in a way that traditional LASIK is not able to. Less corneal tissue is removed during Custom LASIK, and patients who may not have been cleared for traditional LASIK may be able to get great vision results with Custom LASIK.
Based on factors like corneal shape and medical history, some patients may actually get better results with traditional LASIK. Dr. Huynh will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each during your free LASIK consultation.
