ReStor
Frequently Asked ReSTOR Questions
What makes the ReSTOR IOL so unique?
ReSTOR is a multifocal intraocular lens with a unique design and advanced vision technology that allows wearers to achieve clear vision at all distances. The thin flexible lens mimics the natural lens function to send multiple images to the brain at once, permitting "multifocal" vision. The patented ReSTOR design works to minimize risk of vision disturbances and loss of clarity in low light.
Is the ReSTOR intraocular lens an expensive lens option?
Can you put a price on clear vision? ReSTOR is an investment in your vision, and we are confident you will be satisfied your vision results. You may be eligible for insurance benefits, depending on the provisions of your policy and whether you are having ReSTOR implanted after cataract surgery or to treat presbyopia. Our financial counselors will be happy to discuss our affordable payment and financing options with you during your free eye care consultation.
What are the statistics regarding ReSTOR?
Clinical trials for ReSTOR showed very favorable results — after lens implantation with ReSTOR, 80% of patients never had to wear glasses after the procedure!
Will I get 20/20 results for near and distance vision?
Dr. Huynh and his eye care team cannot guarantee specific results, but studies have shown that patients who have the ReSTOR procedure are freed from glasses and contact 80% of the time. You may still need glasses some of the time for some tasks, however, the ReSTOR lens will reduce your dependency on glasses. Because ReSTOR is a multifocal lens replacement, the vision you achieve following your procedure will provide you with consistent results at near and far distances!
Can ReSTOR help me see better in all lighting conditions?
Yes. In fact, ReSTOR is specially-designed to address the vision impairing effects of low light that may lead to loss of clarity in other intraocular lenses. ReSTOR is created to filter light through the eye just like your healthy natural lens.
